Matt Barbieri brings a competitive mindset, strong work ethic, and team-first approach to East Coast Business Brokers. A Long Island native, Matt grew up in Massapequa Park, where he lived for 17 years before relocating throughout the East Coast while pursuing his hockey career. Matt graduated from William Paterson University while competing as a collegiate ice hockey player. During his time with the program, he served as an Assistant Captain for two years, developing the leadership, discipline, accountability, and communication skills that now carry directly into his work in business brokerage. His background in competitive athletics has shaped the way Matt approaches every transaction: stay focused, prepare thoroughly, communicate clearly, and work relentlessly toward the goal. At East Coast Business Brokers, Matt works with business owners and prospective buyers to help navigate acquisitions, sales, valuations, negotiations, and the many moving pieces involved in successfully closing a transaction.
