Ed Shapiro has been an entrepreneur since the age of 18 years old. I have been an entrepreneur for 50 plus years. At 18 I bought one of my first multiple successful venues. A grocery store with my partner on Madison Ave, New York. My specialty store serviced customers such as Forbes, Lefrak, Reggie Jackson and others. Magazine covers featured produce and meats from my store. While I owned the grocery store I branched out to owning one of the largest Deli's in New Jersey. After those 2 experiences I was able to open up a Pizzeria at the South Street Seaport along with a Hamburger, Philly Steak, Saladmania and all food on Pier 17. I also owned multiple franchises such as Nathan's at South Street Seaport and Deer Park Tanger Outlet along with Hagen Daz. I also owned a Kosher Deli in Long Island and still own a Pizzeria in Whitestone. During those years I also worked for Eastcoast Business Brokers and became one of the most highly recommended brokers having more than a dozen Subway Franchises for sale. In the interim I was also used to negotiate problem businesses that were being sold and approved by the courts to determine the value. I negotiated all my leases with The Rouse Company, Related Properties, Tanger Outlet and Spiegel Real Estate and more. After coming full circle I am still in the food business and also back as a broker with Eastcoast Business Brokers.
